Sound baths help us to slow down busy thoughts and unplug from external distractions, 
helping us to gain insight into our inner worlds,
seasons and emotions.

What is a sound bath?

A sound bath is a meditative experience where participants rest comfortably and are immersed in sounds that nurture the body and mind.

 

Similar to a traditional bath, a sound bath seeks to envelop individuals in sound (fully clothed!), with singing bowls being the primary instruments used to produce beautiful soothing frequencies and vibrations that allow the brain waves to slow down into a deep state of rest. Day to day we function within Beta brain waves, we are alert, in focus and aware of the tasks we need to complete. A sound bath helps us to shift into Alpha brain waves, a place where we connect to a dream like state, our focus is softer, our imagination might wander and it can be a welcome place to drift before we fall asleep.

 

The experience begins with participants lying down or seated in a comfortable position, often wrapped in a cosy blanket with cushions and eye masks. Enjoy a guided body scan relaxation and breath awareness to help bring you into the body and away from busy thoughts. The remainder of the experience is filled with different sounds and frequencies being introduced in succession. The sounds are created by a variety of instruments including Himalayan and crystal singing bowls, gongs, shell shakers, chimes, and voice.

A sound bath invites you into a deeper state of consciousness, providing an opportunity to unplug from external distractions and gain insight into your inner self. The aim is to promote deep rest and relaxation while encouraging self-inquiry and self-discovery. These sessions can be enjoyed in a group setting or as a one-on-one experience at home.

Personal Hire

Personal sound baths can be shared for a small group, friends and family, wellbeing events, children's groups, corporate entities and large events. Sessions can be relaxation immersions with personal touches of instruments played over and upon the body, tuning fork healing, essential oils, head massage, group meditation. They are such beautiful offerings that help to in still rest within modern life. Group sound bath sessions are held monthly within the Wyre Forest Discovery Centre, Callow Hill. They are open all age 16+ (unless it's a specified family session). These sessions are the perfect time out after a busy week and can help you to rebalance and recalibrate. You do not need any experience, bring along something to lie on, blankets, cushions and cosy warm clothes.
