Yoga Posture Workshop

You're invited to a fun and information yoga posture workshop this weekend!

This is a great opportunity to build your knowledge base for yoga postures, this is a workshop open to all levels of practitioner interested in knowing all about the physical yoga asanas (poses).


Saturday 20th November 1.30-4.30pm

The Oaks Community Hall, Worcester Road, Harvington, DY10 4NS



When we practice yoga we must understand its not a one size fits all practice! Here you will learn alignment for all body types, body structures, injuries and ages. Learn to adapt your yoga practice to suit your needs and abilities!


Lead by Victoria & Faith we cover the basics, we break down the alignment of common poses to help you get a greater understanding and make the posture work for your body on a personal level. It's amazing what a little knowledge and tweaking can do, it can be life changing.


Following the success of the Home practice & Alignment and Anatomy workshops this will be a gathering to bring like minded people together, to share experiences, enjoy discussing and learning practically through visual and awareness.


We will be moving through a yoga practice, sharing insights into flow yoga and Yin yoga, how to modify poses with props to make them more accessible. We will be demonstrating familiar poses and showing common problem areas, possible mistakes and lots of helpful tweaks to make the poses 'consciously comfortable'.


We will be covering:

Sun Salutations

Standing poses

Balances - standing/arm

Seated poses

Inversions

Twists

Relaxation

Safe and effective alignment

Questions & Answers


Please bring to the workshop:

A yoga mat.

Blocks, straps and blankets if you have them, we do have supplies!

A notebook and pen.

Wear comfortable clothing.


We cant wait to share space with you and enjoy the energy of yoga and learning, we absolutely LOVE questions so please have lots ready if you're coming along! Everyone is welcome so please feel free to share with your friends!
