A really lovely stroll just off the outskirts of Bromsgrove town centre, a place I never knew existed and it's such a lovely walk! This walk is just over 4 miles following the canal path, through fields and bringing us to the point of the church where you can sit, have a breather and take in the view. Even being so close to town we didn't come across anyone else on the walk, I would wear wellies just incase the fields are muddy! The paths are flat, well worn and easy to follow. Towards the end of the walk just follow the main road and to the left is a big outstretch of land where deer often graze.
Great for a change of scenery and literally on the doorstep if you're local to Bromsgrove.
Path visibility: A clear path by the canalside through lanes, fields and roads.
Time: 2 hours
Footfall: A few people on the canal but generally quiet.
Difficulty: Steady walk with a few inclines and declines.
Distance: 4.84 miles
The reservoir is wonderful to sit next to at sunset, sadly the walk doesn't follow all the way around as there is private land. You can see on the path (above) that you could extend your walk and go a little further a field!
